How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

As the lead site-based representative, you will be responsible for driving projects from commencement through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest standards.

    Key Responsibilities

Taking overall responsibility for site delivery.
Managing all subcontractors and specialist trades on site.
Coordinating structural alterations, demolition and temporary works activities.
Managing project programmes and sequencing of works.
Chairing site meetings and liaising with clients, consultants and main contractors.
Identifying and resolving technical and logistical challenges.
Maintaining health & safety compliance across site.
Managing project reporting and progress updates.
Ensuring quality standards are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
Driving projects to completion within programme requirements.

    Requirements

Previous experience delivering cut & carve, structural alteration or major refurbishment projects.
Experience operating as the lead manager on site.
Strong understanding of demolition, temporary works, steelwork and structural modifications.
Experience working within constrained Central London environments.
    Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
    Strong programme management abilities.
    SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
Ambitious, proactive and commercially aware approach to project delivery.

    What's on Offer?

    Competitive salary and benefits package.
High-profile projects throughout the City of London.
    Long-term pipeline of secured work.
Opportunity to join a highly respected specialist subcontractor.
Genuine career progression into Project Management and senior operational roles. If you're currently a Site Manager acting as the number one on site or a Project Manager looking to remain site-based on technically challenging cut & carve projects, we'd be keen to hear from you
