How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    M&E Quality Manager

    London, Kent & Surrey | Multi-site / MEP | Contract

£(Apply online only) per day (depending on experience)

Our client is a well-regarded M&E specialist with a strong track record delivering complex refurbishment and new-build projects. They run structured delivery teams with clear reporting lines and solid on-site support, and they're now looking for an experienced M&E Quality Manager to own quality across a portfolio of live sites in London, Kent and Surrey.

You'll be the quality lead across the region — setting the standard, driving right-first-time delivery, and making sure every site's documentation, inspections and sign-offs stand up to scrutiny.

    What you'll be doing

    * Develop, implement and maintain the M&E quality management plan across multiple live sites in London, Kent and Surrey.

    * Own the ITP process: preparing, issuing and tracking Inspection & Test Plans for mechanical and electrical works.

    * Carry out regular site audits and inspections, ensuring installations meet design intent, specification and British Standards.

    * Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) from raise through to close-out, working with site teams and subcontractors to resolve root causes.

    * Review and approve subcontractor quality documentation, method statements and RAMS for compliance.

    * Support commissioning and handover, ensuring O&M manuals, as-built drawings and test certificates meet the required standard.

    * Chair and coordinate quality meetings with site teams, client representatives and subcontractors across the region.

    * Coach and upskill site management teams on quality standards, right-first-time principles and documentation requirements.

    What you'll need

    * Proven experience as an M&E Quality Manager / Quality Manager on mechanical and electrical or MEP projects.

    * Strong working knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and their practical application on site.

    * Experience preparing and managing ITPs, audits, inspections and non-conformance processes.

    * A background with a Main Contractor, M&E Contractor or specialist MEP subcontractor.

    * Confident communicator, comfortable holding site teams and subcontractors to account on quality standards.

    * Willingness and ability to travel regularly between sites across London, Kent and Surrey.

    * Able to pass relevant security / vetting requirements where sites fall within secure or controlled-access environments.

    Why this role

This is a regional quality lead role with real influence — you'll set the bar across multiple live sites rather than being confined to one, working closely with site management and client teams to make sure quality never slips.
