How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Resident Liaison Officer – Construction – Plymouth

    The Company
    My client operate with a dual capability, acting as both a Principal Contractor and a Specialist Subcontractor, allowing them to manage complex projects from design through to completion.

    The Role – RLO
    Due to continued project success, my client is looking for a Resident Liaison Officer to play a key role in maintaining positive relationships between residents, clients, and site teams throughout the delivery of construction and refurbishment works.

    You’ll be the primary point of contact for residents and key stakeholders, ensuring everyone is kept informed, supported and engaged throughout the project lifecycle. This is a varied, people-focused role where strong communication, organisation and the ability to build trust are essential.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Act as the main point of contact for residents and assigned stakeholders.

    * Build and maintain positive, professional relationships based on trust and transparency.

    * Keep residents informed of project programmes, progress, access requirements and potential disruption.

    * Manage enquiries, concerns and complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally.

    * Liaise with clients, managing agents, site teams and internal departments to ensure effective communication.

    * Prepare and distribute resident communications, including notices, updates and newsletters.

    * Attend regular progress meetings and provide updates on resident engagement and issues.

    * Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, enquiries and agreed actions.

    * Support resident satisfaction monitoring, reporting and general project administration.

    * Assist with site/pre-construction arrangements where required.

    About You

    * Previous experience as a Resident Liaison Officer, Tenant Liaison Officer or in a customer facing role within construction, housing or property services.

    * Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills.

    * Confident handling difficult conversations, resolving issues and managing expectations.

    * Strong organisational and administrative abilities, with excellent attention to detail.

    * Proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate concerns and manage multiple priorities.

    * Professional, approachable and able to build rapport with a wide range of people.

    This is for an inital 12 month contract, and is a great opportunity to work with a growing and well-established contractor on an exciting construction project.
