How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Construction Partnership Manager

    Aylesbury

    Are you an experienced Project Manager, Relationship Manager or Stakeholder Engagement professional looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real impact within Further Education?

    Do you want to join a leading college where you can build strong relationships with industry, manage exciting projects and help shape the future construction workforce?

    This well-established Further Education college is looking to appoint a Construction Partnership Manager to develop and strengthen relationships between the college and construction and infrastructure organizations across Buckinghamshire and nationally.

    In this varied role, you will manage key projects and develop relationships with employers, councils and other external stakeholders. You will work closely with industry partners to influence and co-deliver curriculum activity, improve employer engagement and create stronger links between students and the construction industry.

    The ideal candidate will have previous project management and stakeholder/relationship management experience, with strong influencing, negotiation and communication skills. Construction experience is not essential, and the role could suit someone from a range of sectors including education, the public sector, business development, financial services or other project-based environments.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project or relationship professional looking to take their career into a unique management position within Further Education, with genuine opportunities for long-term career development.

    The Role

    Develop and manage relationships with construction and infrastructure organizations
    Manage key projects including the Teacher-Industry Exchange and Construction Placement Fund
    Work with employers to strengthen links between industry and the college
    Manage stakeholders including employers, councils and other external organizations
    Monitor project targets, funding requirements and outcomes
    Produce reports and provide updates on project progress
    Represent the college at employer and industry events
    Predominantly office-based in Aylesbury, Monday to Friday
    Some flexibility required for occasional evening, breakfast and weekend events

    The Person

    Previous project management experience
    Strong stakeholder and relationship management experience
    Excellent influencing, negotiation and communication skills
    Experience managing targets, deadlines and reporting requirements
    Minimum Level 3 qualification
    Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
    Solutions-focused and customer-first approach
    Confident building relationships with external organizations
