Social Worker – Families First Team - Trafford Council

Location: Trafford Town Hall, Stretford

Salary: £37,280 - £42,839 + (£2,400 Market Supplement)

Office Working: 3 Days per week

Contract: Permanent (Fixed Term Contract also available - please enquire)

We are currently working with Trafford Council to find an experienced Social Worker for their established Families First team in Children’s Services. With a permanent senior leadership team, Trafford are looking for experienced practitioners to conduct all Duty and Assessment work, as well as supporting families through the Child in Need process.

Duties

Completing Section 17 CIN Assessments and identifying children and families requiring support

Participating in the Duty rota, including safeguarding referrals, risk assessments

Develop and review Child in Need plans, working directly with children, parents and wider family network

Collaborative work with multi-agency professionals - school, health, police - to manage risk and achieve positive outcomes

What you need

Social Work Qualification

Social Work England registration

Enhanced DBS (provided by us)
