How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Manufacturing Team Leader - Production Supervisor

    I am hiring now for an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader / Production Supervisor to join a well-established and highly respected manufacturing company that has its people at the heart of the business.     This is a hands-on leadership role supervising production teams and ensuring safety, quality, productivity and delivery targets are consistently achieved.

    Location - Staffordshire

    Shift Pattern

    Week 1: Monday-Thursday 05:45-13:45 | Friday 05:45-12:45

    Week 2: Monday-Thursday 14:00-22:00 | Friday 13:00-20:00

    The Role

    As Manufacturing Team Leader / Production Supervisor / Production Team Leader, you will lead and supervise a team of welders, operators and programmers, coordinating daily production activities and ensuring departmental KPIs are achieved.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Lead and motivate the production team, managing daily targets, KPIs, quality and productivity.
    Ensure effective shift handovers.
    Maintain high standards of quality, health & safety and production efficiency.
    Deliver toolbox talks, daily checks, training and team development.
    Identify production issues, equipment problems and process inefficiencies.
    Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
    Ensure production scanning, IT systems and records are accurately maintained.
    Maintain a clean, organised and efficient production environment.About You

    You will have previous experience as a Manufacturing Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Production Team Leader, Manufacturing Supervisor, Shift Supervisor or Workshop Supervisor within a manufacturing, engineering or heavy industrial environment.

    You should have:

    Proven experience leading or supervising a manufacturing/production team.
    Strong technical and hands-on production knowledge.
    Experience in machining, welding, fabrication or engineering manufacturing would be advantageous.
    Good understanding of quality control, production processes and health & safety.
    Experience using manufacturing IT systems, scanning systems or production software.
    Strong leadership, communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
    The ability to work to production deadlines and drive productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement.How to Apply
