How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Manager

    Location: Birmingham

    Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in engineered-to-order equipment, manufacturing, heavy engineering, capital projects, or industrial systems?

    Our client is a globally recognised engineering and manufacturing business seeking a commercially focused Project Manager to join their growing team in Coleshill. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of engineered equipment and system projects, managing them from order handover through to final delivery, installation, and customer acceptance.

    Working within a collaborative international environment, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    The Role

    Key responsibilities include:

    Managing multiple concurrent engineering and equipment projects from initiation to completion.
    Developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
    Acting as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project delivery.
    Coordinating activities across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, installation, and commissioning teams.
    Managing project risks, change orders, contractual obligations, and commercial performance.
    Monitoring project costs, revenues, cash flow and profitability.
    Providing regular progress reports and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders.
    Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and efficiency. About You

    To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

    A degree qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
    Experience managing engineered-to-order, equipment, manufacturing, or industrial projects.
    Strong project planning, stakeholder management, and customer-facing skills.
    A commercially aware mindset with experience managing budgets and project financial performance.
    Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or similar.
    Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
    Experience using ERP systems and advanced Excel skills would be beneficial.
    Experience within lifting equipment, cranes, materials handling, industrial machinery or related sectors would be advantageous.Package & Benefits
