How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Assistant Commercial Manager – Infrastructure - London

    We are currently partnering with a multidisciplinary construction and property consultancy with presence across the UK and proven success in a variety of sectors including Rail, Utilities, Energy, Roads, Energy etc. Due to continued growth in their infrastructure arm, they are actively seeking an Assistant Commercial Manager to join their team in London.

    Responsibilities

    * Commercial Management & Contract Administration

    Support the delivery of commercial activities across infrastructure projects, administering contracts (NEC/FIDIC) and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.

    * Change Management & Compensation Events

    Manage variations, compensation events and claims processes, ensuring timely identification, assessment and agreement of change in line with contract requirements.

    * Cost Control & Commercial Reporting

    Assist in the preparation of cost reports, forecasts and financial updates, ensuring accurate tracking of project performance, budgets and expenditure.

    * Stakeholder Coordination & Interface Management

    Work closely with clients, contractors and project teams to maintain strong relationships, ensuring clear communication and alignment on commercial matters.

    * Risk, Value & Performance Support

    Support the identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities, contributing to value engineering and overall project performance improvement.

    Requirements

    * 3–5 years’ experience working on major infrastructure, energy, utilities, power, renewables or BESS projects during construction delivery

    * Strong contract administration experience under NEC and/or FIDIC forms of contract

    * Proven experience managing change, variations, claims and compensation events

    * Must be based within a commutable distance of London
