How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About You and The Role
CPRE is looking for an experienced People Manager to lead our HR function and help shape a positive, inclusive and values driven culture across the organisation. Reporting to the Director of Finance & People, you’ll provide strategic HR leadership while ensuring high-quality day to day support for colleagues, managers and the Senior Leadership Team.
This is a varied and influential role. You’ll take ownership of our People Strategy, review and improve systems and processes, and oversee all aspects of the employee life cycle, from recruitment and onboarding to learning, development and performance. Working closely with line managers, you’ll coach and support them to embed consistent, fair and values led people practices. A key part of the role is supporting the implementation of our EDI Framework and Action Plan. You’ll help us build a welcoming culture for people from all backgrounds, ensuring our recruitment, development and engagement practices actively support diversity and inclusion in practical, meaningful ways.
You’ll bring at least five years’ experience in a People Manager or People Business Partner role, with strong technical HR knowledge and the confidence to influence senior leaders. You’ll be CIPD Level 5 qualified (minimum), an excellent communicator, and someone who enjoys building relationships and helping others thrive. If you’re motivated by improving people systems, supporting colleagues, and helping shape an organisation’s culture, this role offers the opportunity to make a real and lasting impact.
