How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Our client is an established and growing organisation operating across events, venues and experience-led environments. It is a fast-moving business where priorities can change quickly, so this role will suit someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative and is comfortable working in a hands-on environment.

“They are looking for a People Partner to join an experienced People team. This is a broad generalist role spanning day-to-day HR support, straightforward employee relations, recruitment, performance, development and people operations. The role is based in the office five days a week, so it will suit someone who enjoys being visible, accessible and closely connected to the wider business. It is also a strong developmental opportunity for someone with good HR foundations who now wants to broaden their experience and take on increasing responsibility with support from more senior colleagues.

    Key duties

    • Support managers with straightforward employee relations and performance matters, with guidance available on more complex cases.
    • Provide practical day-to-day HR support to managers and employees across the business.
    • Support recruitment across the business, working with hiring managers from vacancy briefing through to offer and onboarding.
    • Coordinate core employee lifecycle activity, including contracts, employee changes, HR records and associated administration.
    • Support performance and development activity, helping managers with reviews, feedback and identifying development needs.
    • Contribute to wider people initiatives and improvements across the employee experience.

You will have experience in a generalist HR, People or HR operations role and a good understanding of the employee lifecycle. You do not need to be the finished article as a People Partner, but you should have enough practical HR experience to handle day-to-day queries confidently and some exposure to employee relations or performance matters.

A working knowledge of UK employment law is important, along with strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage changing priorities. You should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly, building relationships with managers and employees, and taking a practical approach to getting things done.

This is a particularly good opportunity for an HR Adviser, People Adviser or experienced HR/People Operations professional looking to take the next step. You will join an experienced team, gain exposure across the wider people agenda and have the opportunity to build your confidence and capability over time in a genuinely developmental role.
