How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Traditional Build Assistant Site Manager - Blackburn

    Fawkes & Reece are working with a reputable housebuilder to recruit an experienced Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a 100-unit traditional build residential development in Blackburn.

    You will be a key part of the site management team, assisting with the day-to-day delivery of high-quality traditional build homes. You will be responsible for ensuring plots progress in line with the required programme, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a strong site management team and work alongside a reputable housebuilder on a major residential development. Previous experience working on traditional build housing developments is essential for this role.

    Main Duties

    Assist the Site Manager with the day-to-day management and coordination of the development.
    Monitor progress across multiple plots and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the agreed programme.
    Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site operatives.
    Ensure labour, materials and plant are available when required to maintain the smooth running of the development.
    Carry out regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets the required quality standards and customer expectations.
    Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to across the site.
    Complete relevant site paperwork, reports and documentation.
    Monitor construction activities and ensure each stage is completed on time to meet programme targets.
    Work closely with the Site Manager and wider site team to identify potential delays and resolve issues quickly.
    Maintain high standards of quality and ensure works are completed in accordance with the required specification.

    Qualifications & Experience

    CSCS
    SSSTS
    First Aid - desirable but not essential
    Previous traditional build housing experience is essential
