How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    DBT Therapist – Children & Young People
    Make a lasting difference to young lives.
    We are seeking a passionate and experienced DBT Therapist to join our growing therapeutic team, delivering high-quality Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to children and young people with complex emotional and mental health needs.
    This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified clinician who is committed to helping young people develop the skills they need to manage emotions, improve relationships, reduce risk behaviours, and build meaningful, fulfilling lives.
    Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will provide individual therapy, facilitate DBT skills groups, contribute to consultation meetings, and work closely with families and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
    What you'll be doing
    * Deliver specialist DBT interventions to children and young people.
    * Facilitate DBT skills groups and individual therapy sessions.
    * Complete psychological assessments, formulations, and treatment plans.
    * Support young people experiencing emotional dysregulation, self-harm, trauma, and other complex mental health needs.
    * Work collaboratively with families, education providers, social care, and healthcare professionals.
    * Participate in DBT consultation teams, supervision, and ongoing service development.
    * Help shape a therapeutic environment where young people feel safe, understood, and empowered.
    About You
    You'll be a qualified mental health professional with recognised DBT training and experience delivering evidence-based DBT interventions. You'll have excellent communication skills, a compassionate and person-centred approach, and the confidence to work with young people presenting with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties.
    We are looking for someone who has:
    * A recognised professional qualification and current professional registration.
    * Intensive DBT training and practical experience delivering DBT.
    * Experience working with children and young people with complex mental health needs is preferable but not essential.
    * Excellent risk assessment and therapeutic engagement skills.
    * A collaborative, flexible, and reflective approach to clinical practice.
    * A commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and young people.
    What we offer
    * Competitive salary.
    * Clinical supervision and consultation team support.
    * Ongoing CPD and specialist training opportunities.
    * A supportive multidisciplinary team.
    * Opportunities to contribute to service development and innovation.
    * Generous annual leave and employee wellbeing support.
    * Pension scheme and other employee benefits.
    If you are passionate about transforming the lives of children and young people through evidence-based therapy, we'd love to hear from you. Join us and help make a real difference every day
