Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + uncapped commission
OTE: £70,000+

The Role
Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a background in fire and security?
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and highly respected fire and security business with a strong reputation for quality, service and technical expertise.
The role is focused on winning new business, developing long-term client relationships and growing recurring revenue through maintenance, monitoring and service agreements.
You will have the autonomy to develop your own pipeline while working closely with estimating, projects, service and operational teams to deliver the right solutions for customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and secure new business opportunities
* Develop strong relationships with end users, contractors, consultants, FM providers and key decision-makers
* Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to project handover
* Prepare proposals, quotations and tender submissions
* Develop opportunities across fire and security solutions
* Grow recurring revenue through maintenance, monitoring and service agreements
* Work closely with internal estimating, projects, service and operations teams
* Maintain an effective sales pipeline and consistently work towards targets
* Keep up to date with relevant industry standards, legislation and compliance requirements
About You
We're looking for someone with:
* Proven experience in business development or technical sales
* Strong knowledge of fire and security solutions, ideally including fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, monitoring and maintenance
* Experience selling to commercial clients, FM companies, contractors, consultants or public sector organisations
* A proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets
* Strong commercial awareness
* Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
* The ability to build trust and develop long-term customer relationships
* A self-motivated, confident and proactive approach
* Strong pipeline management and organisational skills
* Experience with tenders and framework submissions would be advantageous
