How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Manchester (Hybrid working - travel to Manchester head office required)
    c.£70,000 + bonus & benefits

Drive growth | Shape strategy | Build a market-leading commercial function

Against a backdrop of changing legislation, increased compliance requirements and growing demand for specialist passive fire protection expertise, our client has established a reputation as one of the UK's most trusted and rapidly growing Passive Fire Protection businesses.

Now entering an exciting new phase of growth, the business is looking to appoint an ambitious and commercially minded Head of Sales to lead its national sales strategy, secure major contract opportunities and help shape the future direction of the organisation.

This is an opportunity to join a high-growth specialist contractor at a pivotal stage in its journey, with the autonomy, influence and backing to make a genuine impact. For the right individual, it offers the chance to build strategic partnerships, influence board-level decisions and play a defining role in the next chapter of the business's success.

    The opportunity:

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the commercial growth agenda across the UK.

You'll be responsible for identifying and securing major Passive Fire Protection opportunities, strengthening relationships with key contractors, developers and public sector clients and developing a clear strategy for sustainable revenue growth.

Working closely with highly experienced operational and delivery teams, you'll have the support and credibility needed to focus on what you do best: opening doors, building trusted partnerships and converting opportunities into long-term client relationships.

This role offers significant visibility within the business and the opportunity to become a key voice in future growth, investment and expansion plans.

    The person:

We're looking for a proven sales leader with a strong track record of winning work within Passive Fire Protection or closely aligned construction sectors.

You'll combine strategic commercial thinking with the ability to personally develop and nurture high-value client relationships.

    Ideally, you'll have:

A demonstrable record of winning and growing Passive Fire Protection projects and frameworks
Experience selling services such as fire stopping, compartmentation, fire doors or broader compliance-led solutions
Strong relationships across the UK construction sector
Experience working with Tier 1 contractors, principal contractors, developers or public sector bodies
The credibility and commercial acumen to engage senior stakeholders and influence strategic decisionsApplications are also welcomed from individuals with experience in specialist construction services, including drylining, fit-out, M&E, building compliance or related subcontracting environments where Passive Fire Protection forms part of the service offering.

    Why this role?

Direct influence on business strategy and long-term growth plans
High levels of autonomy and decision-making authority
Genuine opportunity to progress into a broader commercial leadership position as the business continues to expandHow to apply:

If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely influence growth, build long-term value and help shape a market-leading Passive Fire Protection business, we'd be delighted to hear from you.
