Assistant Quantity Surveyor

The Company

A leading drylining and interiors contractor delivering specialist packages across residential, commercial, education and healthcare sectors is looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant QS looking to develop their career within a supportive and growing commercial team, working alongside experienced Senior Surveyors and Commercial Managers.

The Opportunity

You will gain exposure to all aspects of the commercial process, supporting the delivery of major drylining and interiors projects across London and the South East.

Projects include:

- Residential towers
- Student accommodation developments
- Healthcare and education projects
- Large-scale mixed-use schemes

Responsibilities

- Assisting with valuations and applications
- Supporting cost reporting and CVRs

- Procurement of materials and subcontractors
- Managing variations and change control
- Measurement and take-offs
- Reviewing subcontract accounts
- Assisting with final accounts
- Supporting site and project teams
- Attending client and commercial meetings

Requirements

- Experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Trainee Quantity Surveyor or Graduate QS
- Construction-related qualification preferred
- Experience within Drylining, Interiors, Fit-Out or Main Contracting desirable
- Strong numerical and communication skills
- Ambitious and keen to progress
- Good IT and Excel skills
