How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Head of Infrastructure & Service Management

    £100,000 - £120,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

    London/Hybrid

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced infrastructure leader to take ownership of a complex enterprise technology estate during a period of transformation and growth.

This role requires a technically credible leader who remains close to the detail. Initially operating as a hands-on individual contributor, you will take responsibility for the entire infrastructure environment, with the opportunity to build and lead a team as the function evolves.

    Key Responsibilities

Own and lead enterprise infrastructure across cloud, servers, storage, networking and end-user services.
Drive infrastructure strategy, operational excellence and continual improvement.
Ensure highly resilient, secure and scalable platforms across hybrid environments.
Lead service management activities, ensuring strong governance and ITIL-aligned practices.
Develop infrastructure roadmaps covering Azure, networking, compute, storage, backup and disaster recovery.
Partner with technology and operational stakeholders to support and secure IT/OT environments.
Embed security best practice and maintain alignment with recognised frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
Manage third-party suppliers and service providers to deliver exceptional service levels.

    About You

Proven experience leading infrastructure functions within complex enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on technical background across Azure, servers, storage and networking.
Experience operating within Operational Technology (OT) or industrial environments.
Solid understanding of IT service management and ITIL disciplines.
Knowledge of cyber security controls, governance and compliance frameworks including ISO 27001 and NIST.
Capable of balancing strategic leadership with hands-on operational delivery.
Charismatic communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.

This is an excellent opportunity for an infrastructure leader who enjoys ownership, thrives in technically demanding environments, and wants to build a high-performing function from the ground up
