How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We’re recruiting an Automatic Door Engineer to join our North London team. This role is open to both experienced Automatic Door Engineers and engineers from PPM, Field Service, or electrical maintenance backgrounds who want to progress into the automatic door industry. As an Automatic Door Engineer, you’ll work for a global entrance solutions provider delivering high-performance automatic doors and access systems across retail, healthcare, transport and commercial sites.

    Role Overview

    As an Automatic Door Engineer, you’ll carry out service, maintenance, and repairs on sliding, swing, and revolving automatic doors across Enfield and North London. This position suits an engineer with strong electrical fault-finding skills who wants structured training, progression, and long-term stability.

    Key Duties

    * Servicing, repairing and fault-finding on automatic sliding, swing and revolving doors

    * Electrical checks, sensor testing and control system diagnostics

    * BS EN 16005 safety checks and compliance documentation

    * Attending breakdowns and delivering first-time fixes

    * Supporting installations and commissioning

    * Providing clear updates and professional on-site service

    Ideal Candidate

    * Automatic door experience or PPM / Field Service / electrical maintenance background

    * Strong fault-finding skills and basic electrical knowledge

    * Full UK driving licence + relevant operating licences

    * Confident working independently across customer sites

    * Positive, reliable and customer-focused approach

    Salary & Benefits

    * Experienced Automatic Door Engineer: up to £44,300

    * PPM / Field Service Engineer (entry level): up to £35,000

    * £200 weekly on-call premium (£2,400 per year)
