How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

You will manage day-to-day HR operations while also taking ownership of HR policies, employee relations, recruitment, compliance, training and development.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Manager or HR Advisor looking for a role where they can make a real impact and the autonomy to develop the HR function.

Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
Manage absence and attendance, including absence monitoring and back-to-work interviews.
Take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process, including job descriptions, advertising, agency management, interview coordination and supporting managers with selection decisions.
Oversee new starter and onboarding processes, including contracts, employment documentation and inductions.
Manage leaver and offboarding processes, ensuring all relevant documentation and records are completed.
Coordinate the probation review process, ensuring managers are aware of key dates and required actions.
Maintain accurate training records and certification, identifying and arranging additional training where required.
Prepare and collate relevant HR information for payroll, including new starters, leavers, pay changes and absence information.
Manage holiday administration and maintain an accurate central holiday calendar.
Coordinate annual Workstation Risk Assessments and support wider HR compliance activity.
Keep up to date with changes in UK employment law and HR best practice, ensuring policies and processes remain compliant.
Support the continued development of a positive, professional and productive workplace culture.
Undertake other HR-related projects and responsibilities as required by the senior leadership team. About You
You will be an experienced HR professional who is comfortable working independently and taking ownership of a broad HR remit.

    We are looking for:

Proven experience working as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or similar.
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Experience managing employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance and performance matters.
Experience managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding.
The confidence to provide practical HR advice and challenge managers where appropriate.
Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Experience working independently within a standalone or autonomous HR role would be highly advantageous.
