How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is expanding their engineering team and is seeking a practical, hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support New Product Introduction (NPI) across a busy aerospace manufacturing environment.
     
    You'll take ownership of your own set of products, working from drawing and specification through NPI, developing manufacturing processes and then getting hands-on with machining and/or fabrication to ensure the finished product is manufactured correctly, efficiently and to the required standard.
     
    This is hands-on engineering role, combines manufacturing engineering with practical shop-floor involvement. You'll work closely with production and quality teams, solving problems, improving processes and ensuring products move successfully from drawing through to production.

    Manufacturing Engineer
    Job Description

    Manage your own products from New Product Introduction (NPI) through to finished production
    Interpret engineering drawings and develop practical manufacturing processes to deliver the finished product
    Provide hands-on support across machining and/or fabrication operations
    Work closely with production to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes
    Create and maintain manufacturing routings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), SOPs and engineering documentation
    Support root cause investigations using 5 Why, 3C, 8D and other structured problem-solving techniques
    Identify opportunities to improve engineering and manufacturing efficiency through continuous improvement, automation and AI technologies

    Experience within a highly regulated manufacturing environment
