How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a well-established contractor, overseeing 3-4 projects across Central London.

    The projects will include heritage buildings, cut-and-carve schemes and smaller-value refurbishment projects, so proven experience in this type of work is mandatory.

    The Role

    You will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple projects, working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, clients, consultants and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, commercially and to a high standard.

    Key Responsibilities

    Oversee 3-4 concurrent projects across Central London.
    Manage projects from pre-construction through to completion.
    Lead and support Project and Site Management teams.
    Manage programme, quality, commercial performance and client relationships.
    Coordinate subcontractors, consultants and other project stakeholders.
    Monitor project risks, variations and commercial performance.
    Ensure high standards of health & safety and quality are maintained.
    Maintain strong relationships with clients and project teams.

    Requirements

    Mandatory experience:

    Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within the construction industry.
    Significant experience delivering heritage construction projects.
    Experience working on listed and/or period buildings.
    Proven experience with cut-and-carve and refurbishment projects.
    Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
    Strong understanding of construction programmes, commercial management and project delivery.
    Previous experience working on projects in Central London is essential.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of Central London projects.
