We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Team Leader to join a busy temporary accommodation service in Birmingham on an initial 3 month contract, with an immediate start available.
The Role
As Housing Team Leader, you will lead and support a team responsible for delivering a high quality housing management service to residents living in temporary accommodation. You will help ensure properties and residents are effectively managed while maintaining strong compliance and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, support and manage a team of housing support officers.
Oversee the day-to-day management of temporary accommodation.
Ensure housing and tenancy related issues are dealt with promptly.
Monitor team performance and service delivery
Support staff with complex cases and resident issues.
Monitor property standards, repairs and health & safety issues. About You
Previous experience in a housing team leader, housing management or temporary accommodation role.
Strong knowledge of housing management processes and relevant legislation.
Experience managing, supervising or supporting a housing team.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
The ability to manage complex cases
A proactive approach and strong problem solving skills.
Experience working within a local authority or social housing environment is essential.
