How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are supporting a large Financial Services Organisation with the appointment of a Senior Financial Reporting Manager to join its Group Finance function.

    Client Details

    A company in the financial services industry based in Manchester.

    Description

    Lead the preparation and delivery of Group annual reporting and subsidiary financial statements
    Manage complex Group consolidations across a multi-entity structure
    Act as a key contact for external auditors and support the full audit lifecycle
    Prepare and review technical accounting papers covering key judgements, estimates and transactions
    Provide technical guidance across IFRS and UK GAAP reporting matters
    Support accounting assessments relating to acquisitions, reorganisations, financing arrangements and other corporate transactions
    Drive improvements to financial reporting controls, processes and governance
    Provide technical leadership, challenge and peer review to divisional finance teams
    Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business
    Coach and develop finance professionals, helping to strengthen technical capability across the teamProfile

    You will be a technically strong finance professional with significant experience in external reporting, Group reporting or financial control.

    You will ideally have:

    ACA qualification with strong post-qualified experience
    Big Four audit background, ideally with industry experience
    Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
    Experience of complex Group consolidations and multi-entity reporting
    Experience managing external audit processes across multiple entities
    A proven ability to prepare and review technical accounting papers
    Experience improving financial reporting controls and processes
    Strong stakeholder management skills, including exposure to senior leadership
    Experience in insurance, financial services or another regulated environment, desirable
    Advanced Excel skills and experience with consolidation, reporting or ERP systemsJob Offer
