The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established and growing passive fire protection contractor, delivering projects across Cambridge and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded and organised Project Manager with a strong background in passive fire protection, fire stopping, or specialist construction to take responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to successful completion.
You will manage multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage passive fire protection and fire stopping projects from commencement through to completion.
* Take overall responsibility for project delivery, programme, costs, quality and client satisfaction.
* Liaise with clients, main contractors, subcontractors and internal teams.
* Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered to programme.
* Monitor project progress, costs, variations and commercial performance.
* Ensure works comply with relevant fire safety legislation, British Standards and project specifications.
* Manage project risks, documentation, quality and handover requirements.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
* Proven experience as a Project Manager within passive fire protection, fire stopping or a closely related construction discipline.
* Strong knowledge of passive fire protection systems and installation methods.
* Experience managing construction projects from start to finish.
* Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.
* Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple projects.
* A good understanding of health & safety and quality requirements.
Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS, IOSH, NEBOSH, fire-stopping qualifications or construction/project management qualifications would be advantageous.
