How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Support the integration and implementation of engineering systems.

    * Contribute to testing and verification activities.

    * Provide technical input during project development.

    * Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders as required.

    * Ensure engineering work is completed to appropriate quality and safety standards.

    * Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation.

    * Keep up to date with developments in control and automation technologies.

    About You:

The successful candidate will have a background in control systems, automation, electrical engineering or a related discipline, together with a practical and methodical approach to engineering.

    You will ideally have:

    * An engineering degree, HNC/HND or equivalent technical experience.

    * Previous experience in control systems, automation or a related engineering environment.

    * Experience developing or supporting electrical and control systems.

    * Experience working with PLC-based systems.

    * Knowledge of industrial automation principles and practices.

    * Experience producing or interpreting electrical drawings and technical documentation.

    * Good technical problem-solving skills.

    * A practical approach to identifying and resolving engineering issues.

    * The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.

    * Good communication and organisational skills.

    * The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

    * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Desirable: Experience with commonly used PLC and automation platforms would be advantageous, but this is not essential
