How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    EHC Plan Writer – Annual Reviews
    3 Months initially – scope of work 6+ months
    Remote
    £300 per day
    Midlands Local Authority 
    Inside IR35 (via Umbrella) 
     
    CVs are being reviewed this week, and interviews will be arranged next week.
     
    As an EHC Plan Writer, you will play a pivotal role in managing statutory assessments, producing high-quality Education, Health and Care Plans, and working closely with families, schools, and partner agencies to deliver person-centred outcomes, reporting into a SEND Manager for Annual Reviews.
     
    In this role you will manage a designated caseload, coordinate advice from a range of professionals, and ensure statutory timescales are consistently achieved.
     
    Your Role as EHC Plan Writer Annual Reviews:

    Writing, updating and maintaining high-quality Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) from multi-agency advice and assessments
    Managing statutory assessment timelines and monitoring new needs assessments from submission through to completion
    Building strong relationships across services to ensure effective multi-agency collaboration
    Maintaining accurate records and supporting statutory reporting requirements 
    Your Previous Experience as EHC Plan Writer Annual Reviews:

    Experience writing EHC Plans and supporting children and young people with SEND
    Knowledge of SEND legislation, the Children and Families Act 2014, and the SEND Code of Practice
    Proven experience working within local government, education, public sector, or similar environments
    Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders and multi-agency partners
