How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
    Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
    Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
    Start Date: September 2026

    Hays Education are working with a specialist SEN school in Rugby to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.

    This role involves teaching a KS2 class working at an Early Years level, supporting pupils who follow a semi-formal curriculum pathway. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing learning that is tailored to meet the individual needs of the pupils.

    The Role

    Lead a small primary-aged SEN class
    Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
    Adapt learning to meet a range of additional needs
    Monitor progress and complete assessments and reports
    Attend parent evenings and contribute to pupil reviews
    Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families
    Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
    The Ideal Candidate

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    Has experience teaching pupils with additional needs or adapting learning for children working below age-related expectations
    Understands how to deliver a creative and engaging curriculum
    Is patient, flexible and committed to achieving positive outcomes for all learners
    Has excellent communication and organisational skills
