The Opportunity
We are recruiting for 1 x CAD Engineer to support the delivery of major UK nuclear projects. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll be responsible for producing and developing 3D design models for electrical installation and cable routing packages.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level CAD Engineer looking to develop their experience within a major nuclear engineering environment.
Responsibilities
Produce and develop 3D CAD models for electrical installation and cable routing packages.
Support the design and coordination of cable routing and cable tray layouts within a multidisciplinary environment.
Ensure designs comply with project, quality and nuclear industry standards.
Assist with resolving design clashes and developing practical engineering solutions.
Support design reviews and provide technical input throughout project delivery.
Work closely with engineers and other members of the design team to deliver project requirements.
Requirements
Previous experience working as a CAD Engineer / Designer within the nuclear, engineering or similar highly regulated sector.
Experience working with 3D CAD / modelling software.
AVEVA or PDMS experience is preferred, but candidates with strong transferable CAD experience will also be considered.
Experience producing 3D design models for electrical or multidisciplinary engineering projects.
Understanding of cable routing, cable tray layouts and/or BIM coordination would be beneficial.
Good attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
