How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Digital Application Developer

    Hybrid Working | London Permanent / Up to £90k DOE

    We're partnering with a large UK organisation that is investing heavily in its digital capabilities and is looking to add a Digital Application Developer to its growing technology team.

    This is an exciting opportunity to work on a range of customer-facing digital products, helping to design, build and enhance modern web and mobile applications that support an evolving digital strategy.

    The Role

    As a Digital Application Developer, you'll be involved in the full software development lifecycle, working closely with product, design and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable and user-focused digital solutions.
    You'll contribute to the development of web and mobile applications, create integrations between systems, and support the continuous improvement of digital platforms and engineering practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    Develop and maintain modern web and mobile applications
    Build scalable, secure and high-performing digital solutions
    Design and consume APIs and integration services
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and enhancements
    Contribute to application architecture, testing and deployment processes
    Support best practices across code quality, security and performance
    Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives
    Explore opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, automation and AI

    Skills & Experience

    We're interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in some of the following areas:

    React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript development
    Mobile application development using iOS and/or Android technologies
    API development and systems integration
    Software design principles and application architecture
    CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and automated testing
    Cloud platforms and modern development environments
    Agile delivery methodologies
    Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills

    Desirable

    React Native or other cross-platform mobile frameworks
    Azure or other cloud technologies
    Experience working within regulated environments
    Exposure to AI, automation or digital innovation initiatives
