How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Your new company

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded claimant law firm with a strong reputation for delivering outstanding results in complex personal injury litigation. The firm is recognised for its specialist expertise across a range of injury and negligence matters and continues to invest heavily in the growth of its Serious Injury team. Working from modern Liverpool offices, you will join a collaborative and supportive environment where professional development is actively encouraged.

This role is open to fast and multi-track PI lawyers looking to develop a catastrophic injury caseload.

    Your new role

As a Catastrophic Injury Lawyer, you will manage a caseload of high-value and complex personal injury claims, handling matters from initial instruction through to settlement. You will work on litigated and non-litigated files involving serious and life-changing injuries, while collaborating with senior lawyers, medical experts, counsel and rehabilitation professionals to secure the best outcomes for clients.

    Key responsibilities will include:

Managing a caseload of complex personal injury claims from inception to conclusion.
Progressing litigated and pre-litigation matters efficiently and proactively.
Drafting legal documentation, witness statements and schedules of loss.
Attending court hearings, conferences and settlement meetings where required.
Liaising with clients, experts, counsel and other stakeholders.
Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
Maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal procedural requirements.

    What you'll need to succeed

You will be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with experience handling personal injury matters, ideally including complex and litigated claims.
Applications are also welcomed from lawyers with strong fast-track or multi-track personal injury experience who are looking to progress into more complex injury work.
Experience managing claimant personal injury files.
Strong litigation and case management skills.
Excellent communication and client care abilities.
The ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ambition to develop a career within complex and catastrophic injury litigation.

    What you'll get in return

In return, you will join a growing and highly respected team offering high-quality work, genuine career progression opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

    Benefits include:

    Competitive salary.
23 days' annual leave plus bank holidays and an additional birthday day off.
Income protection, critical illness cover and life assurance.
    Employee assistance programme.
    Pension scheme.
    Wellbeing initiatives and fitness programmes.
Modern city-centre offices with excellent transport links.
    Ongoing training and development opportunities.
