Role: HLTA / Cover Supervisor
Teach Now is recruiting a confident and adaptable HLTA / Cover Supervisor to provide high-quality classroom cover across Reception to Year 6.
The role will involve covering PPA, leadership release, training and staff absences, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring continuity of learning across the school. When cover is not required, you will be based in Year 6, supporting pupils and the class teacher.
Responsibilities
Deliver pre-planned lessons across Reception to Year 6.
Lead whole classes confidently and independently.
Maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment with strong behaviour management.
Adapt quickly to different year groups and classroom routines.
Mark pupils work in line with school expectations.
Support Year 6 pupils and staff when not providing cover.
About You
The school is looking for someone who:
Is confident managing and teaching a whole class.
Has strong behaviour management and classroom presence.
Is flexible and comfortable moving between year groups.
Can quickly build positive relationships with pupils.
Ideally has previous class-cover experience in a primary setting.
