How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Job Title: Functional Expert - Supply Chain Systems

    Location: Hybrid

    Contract Length: 6 months

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is currently recruiting for a Functional Expert - Supply Chain Systems. This role is essential for bridging supply chain operations and system capabilities, driving continuous inventory optimization, and translating warehouse data into actionable operational efficiencies.

    Job Purpose

Sitting within the UK Distribution team, you will manage and operate the end-to-end supply chain from warehouse to customer. You will serve as the functional domain expert responsible for ensuring that the SAP (Atlas) stock picture accurately reflects physical stock across 3PL warehouse management systems. Operating with a limited degree of supervision, you will utilize an analytical mindset to maintain financial and inventory precision, highlight network trends, and guide cross-functional teams on inventory best practices.

    Responsibilities

    *

System Alignment & Stock Precision: Perform daily checks and active management in SAP (Atlas) to ensure financial and inventory data aligns perfectly with physical 3PL warehouse records.

    *

Network Stock Movement: Coordinate daily Order Driven Transfers (ODT) and Inter-Depot Transfers (IDT) across network warehouses to fulfill sales demand and support requests from Supply Chain, Product Supply, and CoPack.

    *

Warehouse & Logistics Optimization: Monitor overdue loads, analyze warehouse behaviors, track L.14 stock cuts, and lead Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) on physical stock movements to align with company CO2 reduction targets.

    *

Quality & Inventory Control: Perform periodic Best Before Date (BBD) checks across the network to prevent Non-Quality Costs (NQCs), ensure traceability standards, and manage pallet scrap coordination alongside charity/staff orders.

    *

Stakeholder & Peer Collaboration: Partner closely with 3PLs, hauliers, Quality, CoPack, and Customer Services to resolve operational bottlenecks while providing informal guidance and system support to less experienced peers.

    About You

    *

Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in supply chain, physical logistics, and inventory operations.

    *

Technical & SAP Knowledge: Systems aptitude with basic-to-proficient SAP Supply Chain knowledge (Atlas context preferred) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.

    *

Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving brain capable of interrogating raw system data, identifying operational trends, and translating network behaviors into strategic inventory decisions.

    *

Competencies: Action-oriented with strong capabilities in priority setting, planning, customer focus, and building collaborative peer relationships across cross-functional teams.

    *

Flexibility: Willingness to support periodic stock reviews and work bank holidays as required by network demand
