Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive primary school?
Supply Heroes are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-respected Good Ofsted-rated Primary School seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring teacher or ECT looking to develop their classroom practice within a supportive environment. The school is particularly keen to hear from ECTs and can offer valuable support towards your induction journey, with the possibility of securing a permanent teaching position in the future.
The Role
As a Primary Cover Supervisor, you will be supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2), delivering pre-planned lessons and helping to maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
You will work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure pupils remain focused, motivated and fully engaged in their learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons to KS1 pupils.
* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
* Encourage pupil participation and engagement.
* Support children's learning and development.
* Liaise with teaching staff and school leaders where required.
* Ensure high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare are maintained at all times.

Person Specification
The successful candidate will:
* Be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or recently qualified teacher.
* Have a passion for primary education and supporting young learners.
* Possess excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* Be confident working with pupils across Key Stage 1.
* Be reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic.
* Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
* Have the right to work in the UK.
