How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Neighbourhood Manager (9-Month Fixed-Term Contract) – Help Communities Thrive

Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service and building strong communities? As a Neighbourhood Manager at Peabody, you'll be the face of our organisation in local communities, working closely with residents, partners and colleagues to ensure neighbourhoods are safe, well-managed and great places to live.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting residents, resolving neighbourhood issues and improving customer satisfaction through visible and proactive housing management.

    What you'll be doing

    * Deliver a high-quality housing management service across your neighbourhoods.

    * Build strong relationships with residents, community groups, local partners and internal teams.

    * Manage tenancy and neighbourhood issues, including anti-social behaviour, safeguarding concerns and tenancy breaches.

    * Carry out estate inspections, welcome visits and community engagement activities.

    * Support residents to access services and achieve positive outcomes.

    * Help create safe, sustainable and thriving communities.

    What you'll bring

    * Experience delivering excellent customer service within housing, community services or a similarly customer-focused environment.

    * Strong communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.

    * Ability to manage a varied workload and make sound decisions independently.

    * Understanding of housing management, tenancy management or community engagement.

    * A passion for improving services and outcomes for residents.

    Desirable

    * Knowledge of UK housing law relating to residential tenancies.

    * CIH qualification or working towards one.

    * Community language skills.

    Why Join Peabody?

Our values guide everything we do: Be Kind, Do the Right Thing, Love New Ideas, Celebrate Diversity, Keep Our Promises and Pull Together.

    We offer:

    * 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

    * Two paid volunteering days each year.

    * Flexible benefits and employee discounts.

    * Life assurance at 4x salary.

    * Up to 10% pension contribution.

    Please read before applying

This is a field-based role, with around 60% of your time spent out in neighbourhoods supporting residents and communities. You may occasionally be required to participate in an out-of-hours emergency rota and work flexibly to meet service needs.

This is a fixed-term contract ending on 30 April 2027.

Interviews will be held in person at Westminster Bridge Road on either Wednesday 16 September or Thursday 17 September.

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, we'd love to hear from you. Please submit an anonymised CV and a short supporting statement explaining why you're a great fit for the role.

We reserve the right to close this advert early if sufficient applications are received
