How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Domestic Testing, Inspection & Remedial Electrician
    Location: Belfast and surrounding areas
    Salary: £38,000 to £42,000 DOE plus company van & fuel card
    Hours: Monday-Friday
    Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
    We’re recruiting an experienced Electrical Testing, Inspection & Remedial Engineer to work across Social Housing and Local Authority contracts.
    Our client is well established and has built a strong national reputation for electrical compliance, working with major housing associations, NHS Trusts and educational institutions.
    With ongoing contracts, long-term stability and opportunities to develop, this is an ideal role for an electrician looking for their next career move.
    What You'll Be Doing
    * Carrying out EICRs, testing, inspection and remedial works
    * Working across domestic and communal properties
    * Fault finding and diagnosing electrical issues
    * Working to BS7671 and NICEIC standards
    * Working to agreed targets while maintaining quality
    * Carrying out risk assessments and maintaining site safety
    * Liaising professionally with customers and clients
    What We're Looking For
    * NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
    * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
    * 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
    * Proven testing and remedial experience
    * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
    * Good knowledge of electrical regulations
    * Competent IT and electronic certification skills
    * Strong communication and customer service skills
    * Ability to work independently
    * Social Housing or Local Authority experience preferred
