How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Assistant Site Manager

An established residential developer is looking to strengthen an experienced site team with an Assistant Site Manager for a busy, fast-paced development near Chichester.

You'll be joining a well-established management team where standards are high, the programme is moving quickly and there is a genuine focus on delivering quality homes and a first-class customer experience.

Working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team, you'll have responsibility across your plots and subcontractors, helping to keep the build moving while ensuring quality, safety and programme remain where they need to be.

This is a particularly good opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager who enjoys a busy environment and wants to develop their career alongside experienced people who know what good looks like.

    You'll be responsible for:

Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development.
Managing subcontractors and maintaining progress against programme.
Monitoring build quality and ensuring NHBC standards are consistently achieved.
Carrying out inspections and ensuring works are completed to the required standard.
Maintaining excellent health and safety standards across the site.
Working closely with Customer Care to ensure a high standard of finish and customer experience.
Coordinating with the wider commercial, technical and construction teams.
Helping to maintain an organised, efficient and positive site environment.

    We're looking for someone who:

Must have previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within residential construction.
Has a strong understanding of NHBC standards and quality-led housebuilding.
Takes pride in delivering homes to a high standard.
Has excellent customer care awareness and understands the importance of the homeowner experience.
Confident managing subcontractors and working to demanding programmes.
Works well as part of an established management team but can also take ownership of their own responsibilities.
Previous experience working for a PLC or volume housebuilder will be highly regarded.

You'll be joining a business with a strong reputation for quality, an experienced team around you and the opportunity to develop your career as the development progresses.

    What's on offer:

    Salary up to £58,000
    Car Allowance
    Bonus
    Excellent Benefits Package
    Genuine Career Progression

If you're an experienced Assistant Site Manager looking for a new challenge with an established team, a busy programme and the opportunity to work on a development where quality and customer care genuinely matter, send your cv below or call our Brighton office.
