How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Painter & Decorator Havant £21 Per Hour Temporary 2 x weeks Start Date: Monday 24th August

    Are you an experienced Painter & Decorator who takes pride in delivering a high standard of finish across high-end residential properties? A well-established company is looking for a reliable Painter & Decorator to carry out planned decorating works on older-style, high-end residential properties. Ideally you will be Based in Havant, the work will also cover the Chichester and Portsmouth areas. This is a 2 week opportunity for a professional Painter & Decorator who is well presented, self-motivated and takes pride in the quality of their work, must live with good travel distance of Havant, have own tools and van, whites, tools, and brushes.

    Job Responsibilities

    Complete planned painting and decorating works across residential properties
    Carry out all aspects of interior and exterior painting and decorating
    Prepare surfaces through sanding, filling, priming and other preparation
    Deliver high-quality finishes to walls, ceilings, woodwork and other surfaces
    Complete repairs, touch-ups and preparation ahead of redecoration
    Maintain clean, tidy and professional working areas
    Work independently while managing the daily workload effectively
    Maintain high standards when working in residential properties
    Skills & Knowledge Required

    Previous experience as a Painter & Decorator
    Strong experience across all aspects of painting and decorating
    High standard of workmanship and excellent attention to detail
    Experience working within residential properties
    Own van and tools are essential
    Must provide own brushes and painting whites
    Reliable, well presented and professional in appearance
    Able to provide 2 satisfactory sources of reference
    Own van, tools, brushes, Whites
    Ideally live in the Havant area
