How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner - Region - South East/Essex
    📍 Home-Based with Travel Across Services ⏰ Full Time | 37.5 Hours per Week

    Are you passionate about improving the lives of people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and complex behaviours?
    We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our Group Support team. This is an exciting opportunity to use your specialist PBS expertise to improve quality of life, reduce restrictive practices, and help embed person-centred, evidence-based support across our services.
    As a key member of our specialist support team, you'll work closely with operational managers, support teams, families and multidisciplinary professionals to develop and implement high-quality Positive Behaviour Support plans that achieve meaningful outcomes for the people we support.
    What You'll Be Doing
    Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) and developing evidence-based behavioural formulations.
    Designing and implementing person-centred PBS plans.
    Monitoring outcomes and using data to drive improvements in quality of life.
    Coaching, mentoring and developing colleagues to embed PBS into everyday practice.
    Delivering specialist training and enhancing workforce capability.
    Supporting complex cases through consultation, direct intervention and practice leadership.
    Working collaboratively with families, commissioners and multidisciplinary teams.
    Promoting ethical, least restrictive and human rights-based approaches throughout service delivery.About You
    We're looking for someone who combines behavioural expertise with compassion, leadership and a genuine desire to drive positive change.
    You'll have:
    ✅ A relevant qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Positive Behaviour Support or a related field.
    ✅ Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and behaviours of concern.
    ✅ A strong understanding of PBS principles and evidence-based behavioural interventions.
    ✅ Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
    ✅ Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.
    ✅ A flexible, solution-focused approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    ✅ A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
