How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Health & Safety Advisor

    📍 Oxfordshire
💷 Package in the region of £50,000
    🚗 Car allowance and mileage
    🏥 Healthcare and pension
    📅 January 2027 start

I am recruiting a Health & Safety Advisor to manage a regional patch across Oxfordshire.Applicants must live within Oxfordshire or close enough to cover Oxfordshire realistically on a daily basis.

This is a highly autonomous role. You will be trusted to manage your own diary, plan your weekly visits and ensure every client across your patch receives the right level of support.

Most visits will be to construction sites, although the portfolio also includes leisure, hospitality, refurbishment and heritage projects. You are not expected to be an expert in every area, but you must be comfortable adapting your approach to different sites and working environments.

    The role will include:

    • Planning and managing your own diary without constant supervision
    • Completing approximately two client site visits each day
    • Carrying out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
    • Providing practical health and safety advice to clients and site teams
    • Helping clients improve standards, systems and safety culture
    • Managing the full regional patch and making sure no clients are overlooked

    The successful candidate will need:

    • Previous Health & Safety Advisor experience within construction
    • A NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification
    • The confidence to work independently and take ownership of a regional client base
    • Strong diary management and organisational skills
    • A practical, firm but approachable style
    • The credibility to challenge poor standards and work effectively with people at all levels
    • Confidence working across different types of sites and projects
    • A full UK driving licence

This role will suit someone who enjoys being out on site, managing their own workload and building trusted relationships with clients. You will have plenty of independence, but you must be organised, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility for ensuring your entire patch is properly covered.

The package is in the region of £50,000 and includes a car allowance, mileage, pension and healthcare.

Applicants must live within Oxfordshire or close enough to cover the patch realistically on a daily basis.
