How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

As a key contributor to the tax leadership team, you will lead complex compliance, advisory, and planning engagements, ensuring adherence to UK tax legislation, including corporation tax, capital gains tax, and transfer pricing while driving operational efficiency and risk mitigation.

You will play a vital role in shaping client tax strategies, advising senior stakeholders, and fostering long-term client relationships. With a strong foundation in corporate tax compliance and planning, and a commitment to excellence, this position offers a high-impact opportunity for a Chartered Certified Accountant to grow their career in a client-focused, dynamic environment.

    Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end corporate tax compliance for medium to large UK clients, including preparation and review of CT600 returns, corporation tax computations, and associated schedules.

Deliver strategic tax advisory on corporate restructurings, M&A activity, group reorganisations, and international tax planning.

Mentor and manage junior team members, ensuring consistent quality, timely delivery, and professional growth.

Conduct detailed tax calculations involving deferred tax, capital allowances, R&D tax credits, and loss utilisation, ensuring full HMRC compliance.

Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation, including master and local files, aligned with OECD guidelines.

Partner with clients’ finance and legal teams to assess tax impacts of business decisions and support board-level reporting.

Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks, recommending corrective actions and compliance improvements.

Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation, HMRC guidance, and case law to maintain technical leadership.

Support business development through proposal writing, client presentations, and contributing to thought leadership content.

Uphold firm-wide quality control standards and professional ethics across all engagements.

Experience in corporate tax, preferably within a top-tier accountancy firm or in-house tax department.

Expertise in UK corporate tax, including corporation tax, capital gains tax, and transfer pricing.

Proven track record managing complex compliance and advisory projects for corporate clients.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts for non-experts.

Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CaseWare, TaxCalc, Thomson Reuters) and advanced Excel skills.

Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, including mentoring junior staff.
