How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: From £50,000 Depending on Experience

    Hours: Monday - Friday - 08:30 - 17:00

    THE ROLE
    As an Experienced Bodyshop Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the efficient day-to-day operation of the bodyshop, ensuring vehicles are repaired to the highest possible standards while maintaining excellent levels of productivity, customer service and profitability.

    You'll provide strong leadership to the bodyshop team, managing workflow and performance while ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently and in line with manufacturer and industry standards.

    Key Responsibilities:
    ·Manage the day-to-day operation and performance of the bodyshop
    ·Lead, motivate and develop a team of technicians and support staff
    ·Monitor workflow, productivity, repair times and departmental KPIs
    ·Ensure vehicles are repaired to manufacturer specifications and the highest quality standards
    ·Work closely with customers, insurers, engineers and other key stakeholders
    ·Manage workshop capacity, vehicle movement and efficient repair processes
    ·Monitor Health & Safety, compliance and environmental standards across the bodyshop
    ·Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, customer satisfaction and overall profitability

    ABOUT YOU
    We're looking for an experienced and commercially aware Bodyshop Manager with strong leadership skills and a proven background within the accident repair industry.
    ·Proven experience managing an automotive accident repair bodyshop
    ·Strong leadership and people-management skills
    ·Extensive knowledge of accident repair processes and bodyshop operations
    ·Understanding of Panel, MET, Paint and preparation processes
    ·Strong knowledge of bodyshop KPIs, productivity and performance management
    ·Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
    ·Commercially aware with the ability to manage costs and maximise efficiency
    ·Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
    ·Committed to quality, compliance and manufacturer repair standards
    ·Ability to motivate and develop an experienced team
    ·IMI, ATA or relevant industry qualifications advantageous
    ·Full UK Driving Licence preferred
