How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client, a leading provider in the renewables sector, is seeking an experienced Offshore ROV Tooling Technician to support the delivery of subsea ROV Tooling projects worldwide. Working with a range of hydraulic, mechanical, and electro-hydraulic tooling systems, you will play a key role in equipment mobilisation, commissioning, fault diagnosis, maintenance, and offshore operations, ensuring equipment performs safely and reliably in demanding offshore environments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Supporting offshore ROV tooling operations and subsea intervention projects from mobilisation through to demobilisation.
    Commissioning, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of ROV tooling equipment offshore and on client sites.
    Diagnosing and resolving hydraulic, mechanical, and electro-hydraulic equipment faults to minimise downtime.
    Providing technical support and expertise to offshore personnel, clients, and project teams.
    Preparing tooling packages and ensuring all equipment is fully operational and deployment-ready.
    Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of tooling systems, operational processes, and service delivery.
    Mentoring and supporting developing ROV Tooling Technicians through hands-on guidance and knowledge sharing.
    Maintaining accurate technical documentation while ensuring compliance with HSEQ requirements and industry standards.

    Job Requirements:

    Qualification in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.
    Proven experience supporting the inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair of ROV tooling equipment.
    Strong knowledge of ROV tooling systems, including torque tools, valve packs, cutters, LAOTs, and IHPUs.
    Sound understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems, including fault diagnosis and schematic interpretation.
    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, documentation, and operational procedures.
    Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform effectively in demanding offshore environments.
    Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work closely with clients, offshore crews, and project teams.
    Experience with electrical systems and fault-finding would be advantageous.
