How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Their Structural Engineering team works on a diverse range of projects, from new-build developments to complex investigations, structural remediation and expert technical consultancy.     Key accountabilities

    * Lead and manage complex structural engineering projects from initial instruction through to completion.

    * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.

    * Undertake structural assessments, investigations and technical reviews.

    * Deliver holistic structural engineering consultancy advice to commercial developer and institutional investor clients’

    * Deliver innovative solutions for structural remediation following fire, flooding, subsidence, impact damage and structural defects.

    * Carry out and oversee structural surveys, defect investigations and forensic engineering assessments.

    * Produce high-quality technical reports and engineering advice.

    * Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and graduates.

    * Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.

    * Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities and promoting the companies in-house technical expertise.

    * Support the continuous development of technical standards and best practice across the business.

    * Represent the client through presentations, technical papers, industry events and professional networking.

    Skills and behaviour

    * Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE or MICE).

    * Demonstrable experience successfully leading and managing projects while acting as the primary client interface.

    * Broad structural engineering experience covering both new-build and refurbishment projects.

    * Significant experience in structural remediation, including projects arising from fire, flooding, subsidence, structural defects and damage investigations.

    * Strong understanding of structural analysis principles and engineering behaviour.

    * Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex engineering problems.

    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    * Commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to business growth.

    * A personable, approachable and supportive leadership style.

    * Passion for mentoring and developing high-performing technical teams.
