How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Traffic Marshall – Brighton BN2 – Long-Term Role

    We are currently looking for an experienced Traffic Marshall to join a major new construction project in Brighton, BN2.

    This is an excellent long-term opportunity on a project expected to run for approximately 3–5 years, with an ASAP start available.

    Role Details

    * Location: Brighton, BN2

    * Position: Traffic Marshall

    * Site Hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm

    * Start: ASAP

    * Duration: Long-term – 3–5 year construction project

    Essential Requirements

    * Valid CPCS or NPORS Traffic Marshall / Vehicle Banksman qualification

    * If holding NPORS, the card must display the CSCS logo

    * Valid Safety Critical Medical

    * Previous experience working on busy construction sites

    * Good communication skills and a strong understanding of site safety

    Job Description

    As Traffic Marshall, you will be responsible for helping to maintain the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, deliveries, plant and pedestrians around the construction site.

    Your duties will include:

    * Banking and directing vehicles entering and leaving site

    * Coordinating construction traffic and site deliveries

    * Guiding HGVs, plant and other vehicles safely around designated areas

    * Maintaining safe pedestrian and vehicle segregation

    * Communicating clearly with drivers, site management and other operatives

    * Monitoring access and egress points

    * Assisting with the safe movement of vehicles in restricted or congested areas

    * Following site-specific traffic management plans

    * Maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times

    This would suit a reliable and experienced Traffic Marshall looking for the security of a long-term position on a major Brighton construction project.
