How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrician – Building Services / Facilities

    Location: South East London
    Salary: £43,000–£45,000 per annum
    Job Type: Permanent or Temp-to-Perm
    Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
    Holiday: 26 days annual leave plus public holidays

    Insight Executive Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a well-established facility and building services operation in South East London.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician looking for a stable, long-term position within a professional engineering environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and electrical maintenance across a large and varied site.

    The Role

    As an Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring electrical systems, plant and equipment are maintained safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant regulations and site procedures.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment

    * Respond to reactive electrical maintenance and breakdowns

    * Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs

    * Carry out inspections, testing and remedial works

    * Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard

    * Complete maintenance records and relevant compliance documentation

    * Work in accordance with Permit to Work and Safe Systems of Work procedures

    * Support the wider engineering team with general building services requirements where required

    * Liaise with the engineering and facilities management teams regarding outstanding works

    * Work alongside specialist contractors when required

    * Maintain excellent Health & Safety standards at all times

    Candidate Requirements

    The successful candidate will ideally have:

    * A recognised electrical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds

    * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

    * Previous experience in electrical maintenance within a commercial, industrial, healthcare, education or facilities environment

    * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

    * Experience working on a variety of electrical systems and building services

    * Good understanding of Health & Safety and electrical compliance

    * Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team

    * Good communication and customer service skills

    * A professional and reliable approach to maintenance and site operations

    Desirable Qualifications & Experience

    * 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent

    * Experience with LV electrical systems

    * Previous facilities management or building services experience

    * Experience working within a large or complex site environment

    * Knowledge of Permit to Work and Safe Systems of Work

    * Experience with BMS, emergency lighting, fire alarm systems or other associated building services

    The Opportunity

    This role offers a competitive salary of £43,000–£45,000, with the option to join on a permanent or temp-to-perm basis.
