How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Specification Sales Manager – North

    £55,000 – £60,000 + Uncapped Bonus + Company Car / Allowance + Healthcare + Pension

    A growing and established lighting manufacturer is looking for a Specification Sales Manager to take ownership of the North.

    This is a newly created role and the first dedicated specification position in the region, offering real autonomy to build the territory, develop key relationships and grow a strong project pipeline.

    The Role

    * Secure lighting specifications with M&E consultants, architects, lighting designers, developers and contractors

    * Develop relationships with electrical wholesalers and their lighting/key account teams

    * Manage projects from specification through to order and completion

    * Build and maintain a strong regional project pipeline

    * Deliver product presentations and CPDs

    * Work closely with internal design, technical and sales teams to convert opportunities

    * Identify new projects, customers and market opportunities

    About You

    You'll be an experienced lighting specification sales professional with strong industry relationships and a solid understanding of the electrical wholesale channel.

    You'll ideally have:

    * Proven specification sales experience within lighting

    * Strong consultant, contractor and wholesaler relationships

    * Good knowledge of LED lighting and applications

    * Experience taking projects from specification through to conversion

    * A commercial, proactive approach to developing new business

    * Knowledge of major electrical wholesalers would be a strong advantage

    Package

    £55,000 – £60,000 basic + uncapped bonus
