How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Internal Sales Executive

    Reporting To: Branch Manager

    Location: Basildon branch

    Purpose of the Role

    The purpose of this role is to provide an exceptional level of customer service by supporting customers throughout the sales process, ensuring enquiries, quotations and orders are handled professionally, accurately and efficiently.

    Working closely with customers, suppliers and colleagues, the Internal Sales Executive contributes to the overall success of the branch by delivering the standards expected.

    Key Responsibilities

    Customer Service

    Respond promptly and professionally to telephone and email enquiries.
    Develop trusted relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and long-term relationships.
    Fully understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products that best meet their needs
    Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process.
    Ensure customers are kept informed of progress and delivery times.
    Sales Administration

    Prepare accurate quotations.
    Process customer sales orders efficiently and accurately.
    Raise purchase orders with suppliers.
    Monitor orders through to completion.
    Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
    Supplier Liaison

    Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, stock availability and deliveries.
    Resolve supplier queries promptly and professionally.
    Build positive working relationships with suppliers.
    Branch Support

    Support the day-to-day operation of the branch.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues.
    Maintain high standards of organisation and housekeeping.
    Contribute positively towards branch performance.
    Development of the Role

    Following successful completion of training, responsibilities may expand to include:

    Proactively following up quotations to maximise quote conversion.
    Recording customer feedback.
    Contacting new account customers.
    Supporting dormant account development.
    Identifying opportunities to increase customer spend by understanding customer projects and future requirements.
    Assisting with key account development.
    Supporting branch sales initiatives.
    As the business continues to grow, responsibilities may evolve to reflect operational requirements, individual strengths and career development opportunities.

    Skills & Experience

    Essential

    Excellent communication skills.
    Professional telephone manner.
    Strong organisational skills.
    Working accurately within a fast- paced environment whilst managing multiple priorities
    Good IT skills.
    Customer-focused approach.
    Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

    Desirable

    Experience within the HVAC industry.
    Internal sales or trade counter experience.
    Construction or merchanting experience.
    Experience using order processing or ERP systems.
