How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are working with a leading Tier 1 Principal Contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a circa £40m new-build project.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong No.2 / Senior Site Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career, with genuine responsibility for overseeing a major project from pre-construction through to completion and handover.

    The Role

Working closely with the Project Manager and wider senior leadership team, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of the project on site. You will be responsible for coordinating site operations, managing the delivery teams and ensuring the project is delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.

You will be joining an established Tier 1 business offering long-term career stability, progression and the opportunity to work on further major projects.

    We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager / No.2 with a Tier 1 or major principal contractor.
Strong main contractor experience, ideally on projects of significant value and complexity.
Experience taking a project from start through to completion and handover.
Strong understanding of Tier 1 processes, procedures and reporting structures.
Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, quality and environmental requirements.
Confident managing subcontractors, site teams and multiple workstreams.
Strong programme, sequencing and delivery knowledge.
A proactive and commercially aware approach to project delivery.
    Excellent communication and leadership skills.

    The Opportunity

This isn't simply a project-to-project appointment. The contractor is looking for someone who wants to make a long-term career move, with the ambition and capability to progress within the business.

You'll have the opportunity to establish yourself within a high-performing team, deliver a high-profile £40m new-build facility, and progress onto further major projects as your career develops.
