How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Carpenter Multi Trade

    Woking | £38,616.76 + 34 Days Annual Leave + Company Vehicle & Fuel Card + Pension + Life Insurance | Full-Time | Permanent

    Are you an experienced Carpenter Multi with strong first and second fix skills and a background in residential repairs?

    A well-established property maintenance business is looking for a skilled Carpenter Multi to carry out responsive repairs and void property works across Woking. This is a permanent role offering varied work, a company vehicle and long-term stability.

    As a Carpenter Multi, you will diagnose faults, complete high-quality repairs and use your wider multi-trade skills to resolve maintenance issues efficiently.

    Job Responsibilities

    Diagnose and complete carpentry and multi-trade repairs.
    Carry out first and second fix carpentry to a high standard.
    Fit doors, frames, mortice latches, multipoint locks and associated ironmongery.
    Complete kitchen installations, including mitred worktop joints.
    Gain entry to properties and make them safe where required.
    Complete fabrication, structural framework repairs and remedial works.
    Respond to emergency repairs and participate in out-of-hours call-outs when required.
    Follow risk assessments, method statements and safe working procedures.
    Skills & Knowledge Required

    Hold an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Carpentry.
    Have over 3 years’ trade experience, ideally within residential repairs.
    Demonstrate competence in at least two additional trade skills.
    Have strong experience of kitchen installation and first/second fix carpentry.
    Understand residential Building Regulations.
    Have previous fire door installation experience.
    Hold a full, current UK driving licence.
    Be willing to complete a DBS check before starting employment.
