How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site Manager - Retrofit & Refurbishment

    Location: Grimsby
    Job Type: Temporary
    Contract: Until the end of September 2026
    Mileage: Paid

    Our client is looking for an experienced Site Manager to provide additional support across a programme of retrofit and refurbishment works in the Grimsby area.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of residential refurbishment projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to a high standard.

    The Role

    Oversee retrofit and planned refurbishment works
    Manage directly employed trades and subcontractors
    Ensure projects are delivered safely and on programme
    Maintain Health & Safety standards and site documentation
    Complete site inductions for staff, subcontractors and visitors
    Coordinate labour, materials and site resources
    Hold regular site meetings and plan upcoming works
    Ensure environmental and waste management procedures are followed
    Maintain high standards of site presentation
    Liaise with the Project Manager, site teams and residents
    Ensure works meet required specifications and quality standards

    Requirements

    Proven Site Management experience within construction or refurbishment
    Retrofit and/or planned works experience
    Knowledge of air source heat pumps, PV and ventilation
    Experience managing direct labour and subcontractors
    SMSTS
    CSCS Card
    Scaffold Inspection
    Asbestos Awareness
    NVQ Level 4, HNC or equivalent industry experience
    Full UK Driving Licence
    Strong communication and organisational skillsPrevious experience delivering works within social housing, occupied properties or voids would be particularly beneficial.

    This is a temporary position running until the end of September, with mileage paid.
