How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Peterborough
    Salary: From £45,000 Depending on Experience
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
    Hours: Monday - Friday - 08:30 - 17:00

    THE ROLE
    As an Experienced Bodyshop Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing accident-damaged vehicles to a high professional standard, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer repair methods and industry standards.
    You will work as part of a skilled bodyshop team, delivering high-quality structural and cosmetic repairs while maintaining excellent attention to detail and vehicle safety.

    Key Responsibilities:
    ·Carry out high-quality repairs to accident-damaged vehicles
    ·Assess damaged panels and determine the appropriate repair or replacement method
    ·Carry out straightening, reshaping, welding and panel replacement as required
    ·Repair and replace vehicle body panels and structural components
    ·Work closely with MET Technicians, Paint Technicians, Preppers and Workshop Controllers
    ·Ensure all repairs are completed within agreed production times and quality standards
    ·Inspect completed repairs to ensure excellent workmanship and vehicle safety
    ·Follow manufacturer repair methods, Health & Safety procedures and bodyshop quality standards

    ABOUT YOU
    We're looking for an experienced and technically capable Panel Beater who takes pride in producing high-quality repairs and consistently delivering first-class workmanship.
    ·Proven experience as a Panel Beater within an automotive accident repair centre or bodyshop
    ·Strong knowledge of modern vehicle body repair techniques
    ·Experienced in panel replacement, repair, welding and structural repairs
    ·Ability to accurately assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods
    ·Experience working to manufacturer repair methods and quality standards
    ·Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment
    ·Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality
    ·Reliable, professional and hardworking approach
    ·Ability to work independently and as part of a wider bodyshop team
    ·IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous
    ·Full UK Driving Licence preferred
